We all know that our major goal on the Ketogenic diet is to get and stay in Ketosis. Depending on ones current condition when starting the lifestyle, will determine how long it takes them to get into Ketosis.
Thankfully there are a few things that you can do to help catapult you into Ketosis Fast…
Eat more fat. Be intentional about consuming more healthy fat. Make sure you add fat to every meal. If your really hungry to get into ketosis… take a spoon full of coconut oil daily.
Keep your carb intake under 20 grams per day.
Use exogenous Ketones to help get your body use to its new form of fuel burn. Ketones will also help you fight of the Keto flu.
Practice intermittent fasting (16:8). You fast for 16 hours and only eat during a specified 8 hour window. This may be hard to do for a beginner who has not become keto adapted because they are so use to eating multiple meals a day. You can shorted the fasting time until you can do it comfortably.
